About

Once upon a time there were two small indie movie production companies in West Virginia.  Wazzlehog Films was a group of friends from Oak Hill High School including David Smith that got together to make short films in their free time.  A few hours away, Molly Tilly formed Martini Raygun Films in Huntington after she and a few buddies had a handful of bad experiences during the filming of the Warner Brothers classic We Are Marshall.

Molly Tilly met David Smith at the premiere of the Wazzlehog Films debut feature film Maneater.  They became fast friends and took over Marshall’s Society of Student Filmmakers.  During the summer of 2008, they worked on Candytakers, a short political allegory under the guise of a kids’ movie.

As these sorts of things tend to happen, their friendship took a romantic turn, and the two got married August 2009.  They realized that it was a little weird living in the same house and having two different movie-making banners, so they decided to merge the two companies together and form the sparkly new Apartment 2B Productions.
